Meet the Team
We have a rounded team, with accounting, banking, marketing, industrial and private equity backgrounds. This diversity helps us to best prepare companies and manage deals, so getting our clients to realise the greatest value in any deal.
Stephen is the founder partner of Frazer Hall and has worked in mergers and acquisitions for 20 years, personally completing more than 100 buy or sell transactions. His former roles have included working for a private equity house as Investment Director and, more recently, Managing Partner in Manchester for a national practice of chartered accountants. He is also a Founder-Director of the Viking Fund, an early-stage technology fund.
In his limited spare time, Steve is to be found outside, ideally in the hills climbing, but otherwise running, hiking or cycling. He lives in the Pennines as he can’t live in Nepal.

Peter was formerly CEO of adept4 ltd, an IT managed services company which he founded, grew and sold to a listed acquirer. Peter has not only great tech skills, but as an entrepreneur who ultimately sold the company he founded, he has been through the journey that is so familiar with our clients. Peter holds the position of non-executive director at Frazer Hall.
Living by the North East Coast, Peter also spends a lot of time being active – swimming, cycling, and occasional running as well as gym, golf and yomping in the hills. Walking regularly with his 2 dogs on the beach is as therapeutic as you can get.

Claire Paye, Director, Marketing Communications
Claire’s portfolio career has coalesced on supporting SMEs. Her background includes retail banking, corporate banking, and assisting UK companies to export worldwide. Her broad experience and wide range of contacts ensures she can identify potential buyers or investors.
When not being beaten at chess by her daughter, or throwing balls at her son on the trampoline, Claire spends the rest of her spare time ensuring school children in rural Kenya have solar lights to study with, through her role as a director at the Mwezi Foundation.
Graham Niven ACA
Graham qualified as a Chartered Accountant with what is now KPMG, then spent many years in industry holding director positions in both national and international organisations in Finance, Operations, Logistics and Customer Services. In 2005 Graham established his own personal debt advice business focussing mainly on IVA’s and then moved into the business funding sector three years later. His focus for the last 8 years has been raising funding (both debt and equity) for growing businesses in the North-West. He sits on Creative England’s Investment Committee.
A Yorkshire-born, Everton-supporting son of Scottish descent, Graham thinks he can continuously bring down his personal best for running 5k and can write scripts, based in gritty northern settings, full of irreverent humour.
